The company FAMA SOFAS, SLU commits to meeting the requirements set by the PEFC-ST 2002:2020 standard for the chain of custody of forest products, to ensure that the wood and wood-derived products it sells come from sustainably managed forests.

For this reason, we commit to:

  • Implementing and maintaining a Chain of Custody Management System according to the PEFC-ST 2002:2020 standard to meet the requirements set by PEFC.

  • Raising awareness and training employees regarding PEFC requirements.

  • Promoting sustainable forest management by marketing PEFC-certified products, to inform our customers about the content of PEFC-certified materials in the products we sell.

  • Reviewing the implemented management system and this chain of custody policy at least once a year, coinciding with the Management Review.

  • Complying with social, health, and safety requirements based on the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, 1998:

    • Not preventing workers from freely associating, choosing their representatives, or negotiating collectively with the company.
    • Not using forced labor.
    • Not employing workers below the legal minimum age of 15 years, or below the age of compulsory schooling if it is higher.
    • Not hindering equality of opportunity and treatment for workers.
    • Ensuring that working conditions do not endanger the safety or health of workers.
  • Communicating this policy to all levels of the company, including customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
